Printable planner or a paper diary: which one stays in use
A paper diary wins when one person writes in it and it lives in one bag. It loses when the plan belongs to a household: meals, bills, a wedding, a child’s week. The book cannot be in two rooms.
A printable planner is a paper diary you can reprint
Letter and A4 editions sit in a binder. A phone edition is the same pages, smaller. A handwriting edition is for pen, not for form fields. Reprinting a blank week is the advantage over a bound diary. The disadvantage is the same as paper: yesterday’s notes stay on yesterday’s page.
Keep the page, add the record
The version that stays in use is the one where the printed page and the app are the same plan. You can still write on paper. The household can open the same week on a phone without retyping the headings.
